Robotlovesongs does Electro at the ER
Our friends over at RLS have prepared a special treat
this weekend. This is a rare opportunity for
Bostonians to get down to some dirty Electro.
Saturday, July 22
RobotLoveSongs presents:
subK (Chicago)
Teep (Boston)
subK played the main electro after-party at the DEMF
festival this year and the word on the street is that
she upstaged all the people on the bill above her.
According to her bio: She creates "hybrid
techno-electro mixes that tell stories of machines
doing rain dances and making out in corners infused
with blinking neon lights..."
http://www.subk.net
Teep has been DJing for over 10 years and has played
just about every possible venue in the
Boston/Cambridge area, underground and legitimate
clubs alike. This is his second RLS apearance which
some of you may remember when he stoked the fire on
the dance floor before Morgan Geist in early 2005 at
Opal.

Goosehound Label Showcase
Wednesday, July 19
Unlockedgroove presents:
Goosehound Label Showcase
ALL LIVE SETS!
Nicholas Sauser (Goosehound, Microcosm::NYC)
Konrad Schierling (Goosehound, The Bunker::NYC)
Keepalive (Unlockedgroove::Boston)
Goosehound is a new label out of NYC that has really
hit the ground running. Although they've only released
three records to date, they've already developed a
strong reputation in the international techno
community with their tracks being played by elite DJs
including Luciano and Dan Bell. If you enjoyed Barem's
recent performance at the Enormous Room, you'll be
into this. Again, come hear some up-and-comers on
their way to bigger and better things. Still not
convinced? Go download their label showcase
net-release here:

Nicholas Sauser is one half of the duo Socks and
Sandals, renowned for their releases on respected
labels Microcosm and Unfoundsound. Working in a
similar vein to that project, Nicholas makes weird and
fluctuating minimal techno. With one foot planted
firmly in the history of house music, the other is
planted gently in a pulsating future filled with
skimmering sonic oddities.

As a resident (under the moniker DJ Movement) of the
Bunker party (NYC's prime locale for global techno
jocks) for the past 3 years, Konrad Schierling has
rocked innumerable floors and developed a specific ear
for what moves people's asses. Schierling's own live
sets incorporate elements of his broad passion for
electronic beats, deleting, inserting and generating
the tics, kicks, blips and woomps that interweave and
whir into a funk frenzy. He has a vinyl release
scheduled for this summer on Goosehound and has been
featured on the Brooklyn-based net label Wolf & Lamb.

Opening the night Unlockedgroove artist Keepalive, aka
Jay Flower. This man has rocked dark sweaty
dancefloors in NYC's meat packing district and
Boston's Chinatown, and has also rocked Carnegie Hall
and toured extensively throughout Europe and The
United States. Oh, and he's recorded for the top
classical music label Deutsche Gramaphone with
legendary soprano Dawn Upshaw and has been nominated
for a Grammy. One half of Rainbow Bright, Jay is the
co-producer of "The Rollah", a track that generated a
lot of buzz in the Boston underground last year and
has an EP slated for release on Unlockedgroove later
this year.
