Smartypants, Localfields join minimal heavyweight Monolake in Big Apple throw-down
Smartypants and Localfields will represent Unlockedgroove
at techno's beloved subTonic weekly The Bunker on Friday, August 26th.
This will be a record-breaking event in which Monolake (at Bunker) will be collaborating live with Deadbeat (in Japan!) using Robert Henke's improvised network performance tool Atlantic Waves, answering the age-old adage "if a Canadian in Japan drops a groove, does a German in New York hear it?"
A slew of techno greats (Safety Scissors, DJ Olive, Todd Sines, and David Last) join the Pantyfields duo to throw-down slammin' grooves and hot beats.

The Summer X GAMES and Unlockedgroove present: MOTION with jackbackrack
We're going to help you conquer what's left of your eardrums and liver, and dazzle your brain while we're at it. It's time for Unlockedgroove's official Summer Jam, complete with visual wizardry by jackbackrack and beats by your favorite UG musicians. See Ben and James work their Audiopad magic, hear Jamie, Mike, and Heemin drop party jams, and learn how retarded Todd and Dan get when they play with a drum machine on acid.
What to expect: Tag teams, interactive riddims, making-out, and getting down.
Not to expect: 'Tude.
