Cabanne, a native of Paris, is one of the leading microhouse producers in the world right now having released a slew of records over the past several years on prestigious imprints including Perlon, Telegraph, Logistic, and Karat. He was part of the first live presentation of the Narod Niki project at the MUTEK festival in Montreal along with Dandy Jack, Dimbiman, Luciano, Daniel Bell, Richie Hawtin, Afuken, and Ricardo Villalobos. Equally adept as a DJ and as a live performer, Cabanne will give us a taste of both. This will be his Boston debut.
Daniel Bell is a Detroit techno legend, although these days he spends most of his time in Berlin. A pioneer of the blips and bleeps aesthetic, his influence on modern electronic music can be heard everywhere. Dan’s discography includes classic tracks such as “Losing Control” and “Phreak” and he has performed as a DJ all over the world. His last Boston performance in January at the Phoenix Landing drew a huge crowd and he did not disappoint as the dancefloor was on fire all night.
